ProofProfile launched on 6 July. 11 days later, the platform had received 3.7 million requests, and AI services had begun retrieving artist and track records in real time. The platform had begun accumulating operating history, an asset that cannot be added retrospectively.

For a platform only 11 days into public operation, it had not exactly gone unnoticed.

First, the system had to work.

An external audit requested exactly 2,006,084 public artist records over the open internet. The test was conducted in the same way that an AI system would access them, without internal privileges or special assistance.
Of those records, 2,006,041 were retrieved successfully. Every successful response contained valid structured artist information, and 99.90 percent passed the complete set of artist verification checks.
Among the most visible artists, the pass rate was 100 percent.

Each record contains organized identity information, a CopyrightID, a timestamp anchored to Bitcoin, and a route for independently verifying the information.

In plain English, the record does not merely say, "Trust us."
It arrives with instructions for checking the claim.

The audit also found and removed a surprising amount of relaxation music for dogs. Either the database needed cleaning, or dogs have quietly negotiated a rather impressive distribution agreement.

Removing strange information is easy.

Knowing what should not be removed is the more valuable part.

The 3.7 million visits were not the real story.

Between late June and 17 July, ProofProfile recorded more than 3.7 million automated requests.
Meta's crawler generated more than 2.15 million requests. GPTBot generated approximately 1.33 million, while ClaudeBot generated around 97,000.
These numbers demonstrate that major AI companies can find, read, and process the ProofProfile database.
That matters, but it is only the first step.

A crawler visiting a record does not necessarily mean that an AI assistant has used that record to help answer a person's question. Crawling is closer to stocking the warehouse. Retrieval is when something is actually taken from the shelf.

The commercially important question is therefore not simply whether an AI company has indexed ProofProfile.

It is whether an AI assistant retrieves a specific ProofProfile record when somebody asks about a particular artist or recording.
That has now started.

What happened at 03:37

At 03:37 on 17 July, Google Read Aloud retrieved 3 individual ProofProfile artist records.
Each record was requested 3 times within seconds, for a total of 9 requests.

ChatGPT had already retrieved 3 other ProofProfile entities, including both artist and track records. Combined, the system recorded 12 requests involving 6 distinct music entities.
The logs prove that these records were retrieved during answer processing. They do not reveal precisely how the information appeared in the final response delivered to the user.
It would therefore be wrong to describe every request as a visible reference or recommendation. ProofProfile is built around verifiable claims, so inventing one of our own would be an unfortunate form of marketing.

The important point is simpler.

Within 11 days of becoming publicly available, ChatGPT and Google services were retrieving individual ProofProfile records in real time.
The machines found the door quickly.

Why the answer now matters more than the click

People increasingly ask AI assistants for a completed answer instead of opening a page of search results and deciding which link looks least suspicious.
This changes how information creates value online.

Google can place advertising, offers, and transactions within AI-generated answers. Meta can connect questions asked through its AI assistants with activity across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Messenger. Amazon can turn a spoken request into a purchase. OpenAI is also developing advertising and commerce within the AI assistant interface.

The advertising market is not disappearing. It is moving towards the companies that control the answer.

The pressure falls on publishers and online services that depend on referral traffic. Their information may help produce the answer, while the AI platform keeps the user, the commercial intent, and an increasing share of the advertising income.

Under this model, being visible is no longer enough.
The information must be reliable enough to support the answer.

Why this matters for ProofProfile

Music information is particularly vulnerable to the shift from internet search to AI-assisted answers.

An AI assistant asked about an artist, a recording, or the history of a song; a single claim repeated across several websites isn't enough. It needs organized relationships between artists, tracks, and albums. It needs identifiers, registration records, timestamps, and a method for verifying that the information has not been altered.
That is the role of ProofProfile.

It does not ask an AI assistant to accept a claim because ProofProfile published it. It provides the AI assistant with a structured record and the means to examine supporting evidence.
